Kilele Junior School

Child Sponsorship

DO YOU WISH TO BECOME A SPONSOR OR PARTNER?

Kilele Junior Foundation and Kilele Junior School does not have recognized partners sponsoring or funding the school. We are looking forward to this form of partnerships especially with people who have the same vision as ours. However, we have been able to get four friends who have agreed to sponsor the children in the pictures at the section below. But more children need support. Below is how you can support a child.

Q: Why Should I?

A: Sponsoring a child gives you a chance to share a unique relationship with a child in another part of the world. As a sponsor, your regular contributions provide important benefits to a child living in poverty and enable it to go to school. Although you are under no obligation, we hope that your commitment will be a long-term engagement with the child you have chosen. Many sponsors have developed a very close and friendly relationship with their sponsored child.

In our gallery of children that need  sponsorship you can search for a child. Once you have chosen a child you can fill in the sponsorship application form and we will get back to you as soon as possible to confirm the sponsorship and to provide you with further information about the child and the kind of sponsorship.

Within 10 days, you will receive an email that will include photos of your sponsored child, information about his/her family and other relevant information about the child benefiting  from the sponsorship.

Within a couple of months you will receive a letter from your sponsored child introducing him/herself and his/her family; Twice a year you will receive a  detailed report card showing your sponsored child’s academic, extra curricular  progress in school.

Q: How is my sponsored child going to benefit from my contribution?

A: The fee to sponsor a child is 33 Euros or 21 US Dollar a month. However, we are open to receive more or less. Fees can be paid on a monthly, half-year or yearly basis. The objective of our sponsorship program is education of orphans and needy children. Your sponsorship fee will cover the school fees, the school material, and the daily feeding program at school.

Q: How can I pay my contribution

Kilele Junior Foundation and Kilele Junior School does not have recognized partners sponsoring or funding the school. We are looking forward to this form of partnerships especially with people who have the same vision as ours. However, we have been able to get four friends who have agreed to sponsor the children in the pictures at the section below. But more children need support. Below is how you can support a child.

for the sponsorship?

A: Please contact us through our email address to get full information on how to transfer through your Bank.

Q: How can I enter in contact with my sponsored child?

A: You can send cards and letters to your sponsored child to the school address that you find on the contact page. We will arrange that your sponsored child receives the letters and also arrange for translation. Since the Kenyan postal service is sometimes not very reliable, we would advise you to contact us if you haven’t heard from us within 3 months of you sending your letter.

E mails: sponsors can also use the school email address to communicate. The mail will be printed and given to the child

Q: Can I send packages/gifts to my sponsored child?

A:  You can send packages to your sponsored child. If you need any specific information as for example the children´s size, you always can contact us. Packages can be sent to the address provided under contact.

Please make sure to write: “Donation to: Kilele Junior Foundation

P.o.Box 40821 – 00100 Nairobi Kenya

N; B Inside the package you would have indicated the name of the child to benefit.

Please remember, if the donor does not indicate “DONATION” we shall end up being taxed heavily.

Q: Can I send money directly to my sponsored child?

A: If you wish to send extra money or a gift to your sponsored child or family, we would advise you to send it through us as we will make sure they receive your gift. After your sponsored child/family has received the gift, we will take a picture of the child/family with your gift so you can see yourself how happy your gift has made her/him.

Q: Can I visit my sponsored child?

A: Of course you can visit your sponsored child/family. It can be a very rewarding experience, for you and the sponsored child/family, to meet face-to-face.  If you ever desire to do so, let us know and we will arrange your visit and give you general information on how you can get to our school.

Q: When will my sponsorship end?

A: A sponsorship is a voluntary commitment and you can end your sponsorship on the first day of each month. A reimbursement of already paid fees is not possible. However, we see the child sponsorship as a long lasting relationship between you and your sponsored child. Continuity is crucial for a successful school career and will avoid school drop out because of the lack of funding.

Your sponsorship automatically ends when the child leaves our school or does not need any longer assistance. When this happens we will offer you the opportunity to sponsor another child or family. We are confident that after you have seen how your contribution has changed the life of the child or family you have sponsored you will want to enjoy this experience again, the experience of joy for helping a needy child or family become strong, self-reliant and happier thanks to your generous contribution.
