KILELE JUNIOR FOUNDATION NGO is register organization located in a middle-income eastern suburb of the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi.

Kilele Junior Foundation was established on 18th December, 2008

General information

Based in a middle-income neighborhood and close to very deprived neighborhoods we experience the needs of children from diverse backgrounds.

Our experience informs our conviction that as much emphasis and effort needs to be put towards the child irrespective of gender, age or socioeconomic background.

Our strength is based on our directors capacities with over 20 years experience between them in youth education, mentor ship, coaching and administration.

 

Main objective

KIlele Junior Foundation, NGO’s  main objective is to source for partnership, funds, grants and/or any form of donations that would help us realize our vision of providing education and equal opportunity to children and welfare of the up coming youth. We are located Komarock, in East lands of Nairobi and currently operating from a rented facility.

Main target

Our main target is education for children from deprived backgrounds locally, Upcoming youth and the general welfare of the mentioned target group.Also benefiting from this initiative are refugee children from Southern Sudan.

Objectives and strategic focus

Operate on clear and concise methods that instill confidence.

Provide friendly and home like atmosphere that include meals together with supervision and guidance in school assignments.

Liaise with parents and guardians on areas of their children’s weakness and offer professional guidance and support.

Offer counseling and mentorship sessions to enable the kids to grow within a positive mental stature and overcome stigma.

Identify and nurture talent and provide guidance.Organize holiday camps for healthy living and as a CSR initiative aimed at protecting the youth from ill vices (drug abuse, alcohol).

Work in partnership with relevant government departments and donors for capacity building and resource mobilization.

Our values are driven by our quest to develop nourished bodies and minds as pillars of our motto.
Projects and Donations

SCHOOL PROJECTS

There are several projects that need attention listed in order of priority.

To give a chance to children in the best conditions available, to give quality education, we need your help to collect money. Below this text you can see the projects we planned.

 

TO BUY A VAN OR BUS

There is need for better school transport facility.

The first project is to buy a Van. The school has a small 5 seat car which it uses to transport the little children numbering 40. We need to do plenty of travels to take the children home and in every trip they are too squeezed.

 

Why we need a Van OR Bus?

·         The small car doesn’t have adequate space

·         Less air condition

·         Not comfortable.

·         Consumes a lot of fuel.

·        Safe, convenient and reliable.

A good Second Hand Van costs between 700,000 and 1,000,000 a Kenya shilling. (10.000 Euros).

Games and Sports

We look forward to equipping our sports/games with kids such as balls, training suits, Soccer boots, Socks and official School Sports attire.

 

Books

Most children cannot afford School Set curriculum text books we intend to equip our book bank with the curriculum text books so that all children have access to them and don’t have to be sharing the few available ones.

These books shall be stored in lockable shelves for safety.

 

Computer Lab

In this dynamic, ever changing global village ICT remains the only exposure to our children that shall link them to other parts of the world by way of internet as a social media.

We look forward to working with partners who can were us come up with such a lab.
